• Schools and institutions are the primary collectors and controllers of student, teacher, and parent data. DiMoto provides PairLMS as a service provider ("data processor" or "service provider").
• DiMoto processes user data on behalf of and under the direction of the respective school or institution.

PairLMS may collect the following categories of information, as provided or managed by schools and institutions:

• Personal Information: Names, contact details (email, phone number), addresses. Student data: roll number, class, section, enrollment details, attendance. Parent/guardian contact and relationship information. Teacher/staff professional data as required for academic management.
• Account and Login Data: Username and encrypted passwords. Account access logs, session information, and device/browser data.
• Educational Content and Activity: Assignments, grades, feedback, discussion messages, test results. Uploaded documents, images, audio, and video.
• Usage Data: Dates and times of activity, interaction logs, error logs, analytics data (non-identifiable where possible). Cookies and similar tracking technologies for platform functionality and security.

We process your information:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the PairLMS Services.
• For communication relating to coursework, assignments, announcements, or support.
• To enable school/institution management and reporting features.
• To ensure security and integrity of the platform.
• To comply with applicable laws and school/institutional requirements.
• For anonymized statistical or research purposes (never in a way that identifies an individual).

Your information is shared only with authorized school administrators, teachers, or staff as required by educational purposes.

• Third-Party Service Providers: We may use trusted vendors for hosting, backups, analytics, or communication, strictly under confidentiality agreements and only for providing PairLMS Services.
• Legal Obligations: If required by law, regulation, or court order.
• Never for Sale: Your personal data is never sold, rented, or otherwise monetized by DiMoto or PairLMS.

As a user of PairLMS — whether school administrator, teacher, student, parent, or staff — you agree to maintain a secure, safe, and effective learning environment:

• Confidentiality: Keep your account credentials confidential. Do not share your username or password with others.
• Accurate Information: Provide and maintain accurate and up-to-date personal and academic information as required by your institution.
• Authorized Use: Use PairLMS only for lawful, educational, and institutionally approved purposes.
• Content Sharing: Do not upload or share content that is unlawful, offensive, infringes third-party rights, or violates institution policies.
• Reporting Issues: Promptly report any suspicious activity, unauthorized access, data breaches, or misuse to your school administrator or DiMoto.
• Compliance: Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by your institution and DiMoto regarding the use of PairLMS.
• Respect Privacy: Do not attempt to access user data or accounts that you are not authorized to access.
• Parental/Guardian Oversight: Parents or guardians should supervise student use and ensure necessary consents are obtained.

We employ industry-standard security procedures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
• Secure access controls and authentication mechanisms.
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Employee training on data protection and privacy.
• Incident response procedures for security breaches.
• Schools and institutions are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of access credentials shared with their users.

Personal data is retained for as long as required by the institution or as necessary for the purpose it was collected.

• Upon request from the school/institution or upon account closure, we permanently delete or anonymize personal information within 30 days unless legally required otherwise.
• Backup data may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes.
• Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for statistical and research purposes.

Depending on your jurisdiction and the agreements your institution has with us, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal information.
• Request correction/update of inaccuracies.
• Request deletion or anonymization.
• Withdraw consent (where applicable).
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured format.
• Object to processing of your personal data.
• Restrict processing of your personal data.

PairLMS is designed for use by minors under the supervision of their schools and with the consent of parents/guardians as required by law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without institutional or parental authorization.

Schools and institutions are responsible for obtaining all necessary parental consents as required by applicable laws, including but not limited to COPPA, GDPR, and local data protection regulations.

We implement additional safeguards for accounts associated with minors, including enhanced privacy controls and monitoring.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will:

• Notify affected schools and institutions within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
• Provide detailed information about the nature and scope of the breach.
• Outline the steps being taken to address the breach and prevent future occurrences.
• Cooperate with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies as required by law.
• Schools and institutions are responsible for notifying affected students, parents, and staff in accordance with their own policies and applicable laws.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your country of residence. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

• Standard contractual clauses approved by relevant data protection authorities.
• Adequacy decisions where applicable.
• Other appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
• We will inform you of any international transfers and the safeguards in place to protect your data.

DiMoto India Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict any feature or aspect of the PairLMS platform at any time. Schools and institutions will be notified of material changes in a timely manner via official communication channels registered with us.

All responsibilities for the lawful collection, use, and management of personal data — including obtaining any required parental or guardian consents — rest solely with the school or institution providing the PairLMS Service.

DiMoto India Pvt. Ltd. and PairLMS disclaim liability for any claims, losses, or disputes arising from school, staff, student, or parent use of PairLMS. DiMoto's liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law. In no event shall DiMoto be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of PairLMS after such changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Material changes to this Privacy Policy will be communicated to schools and institutions at least 30 days in advance of implementation. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
